1. Big Agnes King Solomon 15 Degree Sleeping Bag
This ultralight double sleeping bag weighs just 4 lb 9 oz (2070 g) and has an official temperature rating of 15 F (-9.4 C). The temperature rating makes it a genuine 3-season sleeping bag and perhaps more, making it pretty versatile.
This product is among the lightest of the best double camping sleeping bags, thanks to its top-notch water-repellent anti-microbial and anti-bacterial 600-fill Downtek down insulation. However, this lightness also comes from having no insulation at the bottom. Instead, it has two pad sleeves. As you may know, the insulation of a sleeping bag loses its thermal efficiency when pressed by the body. Therefore, Big Agnes has removed it from the bottom completely. You can place two pads of 72 x 20 inches (183 x 51 cm), so you realize its size is not so impressive.
The picture above shows that you have a double-wide hood and two integrated pillow sleeves. The compressed size is truly impressive (L x D) 11 x 11 inches (28 x 28 cm)

How to choose double sleeping bags
As you can see from our selection, the best double camping sleeping bags for adults are really versatile and unique products. However, before you buy, there are many factors to take into consideration, including:
- Versatility.
- Packed size.
- Weight.
- Insulation type.
- Temperature rating.
- The durability of the fabric.
- Comfort.
- Liner type.
- Price.
Each of these characteristics is worth discussing, and combined affects the performance of your sleeping bag. You have already seen a lot about versatility; some of these bags are 3-in-1, 5-in-1, etc. The packed size, weight, and insulation are related to each other. If you want something packable and light, go for a sleeping bag with down insulation.
Some of these sleeping bags are lightweight because of their relatively thin materials. This is expressed through their denier value. But you may have seen that some are made from light, thin, and very strong ripstop fabrics, providing durability and longevity.
Many factors contribute to the comfort of your sleeping bag. These include the size and shape; you have less comfort in mummy-style bags, but they can be enhanced with pleasant cotton flannel liners. But also think about the temperature rating and the conditions where you plan to camp; if you feel cold, nothing will make you comfortable.
There are significant price differences; this is also related to the shell materials and insulation. Down bags are always more expensive, but you would rather avoid down in wet conditions.
