Our previous articles introduced you to the best two-person sleeping pads and two-person sleeping bags. And we wanted to extend our list so you can find a camping cot for you and your partner.
This article’s two-person camping cots will raise your comfort level to the extreme. More importantly, they will raise you off the ground, separating you from the cold and unpleasant surface underneath you.
Our List Of Best Camping Cots For 2 People
So here is our list of the best camping cots for two people, which are ordered by the width from narrowest to widest:
There are several very different designs and concepts here on the list. You have i) folding and ii) collapsible cots. The difference is that the latter needs some simple assembly.
During this article, you’ll be introduced to 5 different models with varying attributes so that you can find the right one for you:
1. Outsunny Two-Person Double Wide Folding Camping Cot
This cot is a folding style; it opens and closes in one straightforward move; you grab the handle in the middle and pull it up. It packs into a relatively narrow tube. So its packed dimensions are (L x W x H) 38.2 x 5.9 x 7.5 inches (97 x 15 x 19 cm).
But given its position in the list, it is not the largest double-wide cot to share with your partner. The bed dimensions are still quite good; it measures (L x W x H) 76 x 49.2 x 15.7 inches (193 x 125 x 40 cm).
You might notice no bars on the head and foot from the picture, meaning it feels more comfortable. To continue with numbers, the weight of this cot is 26.4 lb (12 kg), and its capacity is 440 lb (200 kg).
So you could describe it as lightweight and portable for shorter distances, but this is a car-camping item (you wouldn’t want to hike miles with it. It is easy to use; there is no assembly, and comes with a nice carry bag.
The frame is steel, with 9 feet on the ground, so the weight is distributed nicely, and the diagonal X-shaped supporting bars provide lateral stability. The fabric is a 600D (denier) oxford with a PVC coating.
2. KingCamp Double Camping Cot
This KingCamp Double Camping Cot offers no less than 84.6 x 55 inches (215 x 140 cm) of sleeping space. It is pretty tall, and the clearance under the bed is 18.9 inches (48 cm). So this is a large bed, suitable even for very tall users that like to store their bags under the bed. The packed size is (L x D) 45.3 x 11.8 inches (115 x 30 cm).
The double sleeping cot folds, so there is no assembly. The picture above shows the straps in the corners to keep your double-wide sleeping pad in place. The cot comes with a carry bag equipped with wheels. You will need them because it weighs a massive 35.3 lb (16 kg).
The frame is steel, and the fabric is with an extraordinary denier value of 1200D. All places you should grab to fold the cot are covered with flaps so you do not touch cold metal when sleeping on the cot. The 9 feet have plastic caps, but I would not use them in a floored tent without extra protection.
3. Kamp-Rite Double Kwik Cot
This Kamp-Rite Double Kwik Cot Review is among the largest on the list; you have 85 x 55 inches (216 x 140 cm) of sleeping space. It also has a height of 19 inches (48 cm). But its packed size is equally impressive; it’s (L x D) 42 x 11 inches (107 x 28 cm).
The picture above shows its bonus mesh storage pocket underneath the bed. The head sections are lightly padded, and a carry bag is included.
Regarding the materials, you have a steel frame and a 600D bed deck fabric, and its official capacity is 500 lb (227 kg) of weight. So this is again not so much for a couple, but this should be fine for most users.
4. Coleman Queen Size Cot with Air Mattress
This Coleman Queen Size Cot is a bit special. You have a double-size camping cot that measures 78 x 59 x 22 inches (198 x 150 x 56 cm), which is incredibly wide and very tall. This is an outdoor sleeping system that includes several elements.
You also have an air mattress with an included zippered cover. And that’s not all; there are two side tables with cup holders, plus a pump included.
The official weight capacity is 600 lb (272 kg), quite typical, as you can see from the cots presented above. All of the above makes this cot very heavy; you have 42.8 lb (19.4 kg) of weight. Luckily it has a carry bag and wheels to help you transport it. The packed size (L x D) is 48 x 18 inches (122 x 46 cm). The frame is steel, with 9 legs and many support bars. This cot is also on our list of the best Coleman camp cots.
5. Disc-O-Bed Large With Organizers
There is nothing on the market that could even remotely be a match for this camping cot. It is unique, but that does not mean that everything is perfect. So let us start with its less impressive features.
This is a collapsible system, and this means it needs assembly. It can take up to 30 minutes to have the cot up and ready. There are two cots that can be packed separately, each in its carry bag. For transportation, you have a bundle of 34 x 16 x 11 inches (86.4 x 40.6 x 27.9 cm). The whole set weighs 63 lb (29 kg).
But let’s see what it offers. As shown in the picture, you can use it as a bunk cot. But you can use them both side by side or entirely independently. And that’s not all:
You can use them as a bench as well. In other words, you have a set that could be described as 4-in-1. And if that wasn’t enough, you have two bonus organizers included.
The bed dimensions are 79 x 27.75 inches (201 x 70.5 cm). This is the actual length between the side and end bars. These two cots are the largest on the list when used side by side. For each of the cots, the official capacity is 500 lb (159 kg).
The frame is powder-coated, anti-rust steel, and the deck is 600D polyester; the same material is used for the organizers. As you realize, the legs are floor-friendly. The bunk is relatively low, you have only 36.5 inches (92.5 cm), so it fits easily in most family camping tents.
