If you are new to the propane camping stove market, you should know that these products are from the best-known brands in the outdoor industry.
1. Gas ONE Propane or Butane Stove GS-3400P
- BTU Output: 8,000 BTU
- Dimensions: 13.5″ x 11.2″ x 4.4″
- Weight: 3.1 lbs
This single-burner stove uses a Piezo electric ignition and features an automatic safety shut-off system. The output is 8000 BTU, so it should be enough to boil water quickly. It’s also surprisingly light; it only weighs 3.1 lb (1.4 kg), and its overall dimensions (L x W x H) are 13.5 x 11.2 x 4.4 inches (34 x 28 x 11 cm). So it is compact as well.
One of the best features of this camping stove is that it can work with both propane and butane. You have a regulator suited for propane and butane so you can use an 8 oz Butane Canister and a 16.4 oz Propane Tank. Note that it comes with a great solid carry case included. And it’s these features that place it high on our list of the 5 best propane camp stoves of 2023.
Other details include air vents, non-slip rubber legs, a heat-resistant knob, and a built-in cartridge ejection system that activates if irregular gas flow/pressure above 5-7 kg/cm² is detected. It is also included in our list of best single-burner propane camp stoves.
2. Jetboil Genesis Basecamp Camping Cooking System
- BTU Output: 10,000 BTU
- Dimensions: 10.75″ x 8.5″
- Weight: 9.1 lbs
This is an award-winning 2-burner camping stove system. The burner provides 10000 BTU, and its packed size is impressive (H x D) 10.75 x 8.5 inches (27 x 22 cm). Its two parts fold into one, making it very space efficient.
You may have noticed that we called this stove a “system,” and this is because of the following included elements:
- There is a 2-burner stove with stainless steel burners 3.25 inches (8.2 cm) in diameter.
- You also have a 5-liter FluxPot aluminum pot shown on the right, with two handles on the sides and a lid. Note that the top has a strainer on the side. The pot is specially designed with a flux ring on the bottom; this is added to increase burning efficiency and save fuel.
- Also included is a 10-inch FryPan.
- You also get a flexible translucent plastic windscreen.
- There is a nice carry case.
The stoves come with a simmer control and a lever igniter. The weight is 9.1 lb (4.1 kg). We have included it in our list of best-rated camping stoves with two and 3-burners.
