Our List Of Titanium Wood Burning Tent Stoves

Titanium is the material of choice if you need a light metal that is tougher and more corrosion-resistant than stainless steel. It can also withstand higher temperatures than steel, and it’s usually used for spacecraft as well.

This is why all the stoves in the list are built from this material. Here’s what you can currently find:

Note that this list will be updated whenever we find a stove worth adding here, so bookmark this article and revisit it later on.

The body is titanium, and the walls are thin, only 0.024 inches (0.6 mm) thick. As you see from the picture, it has a glass window on the door with closable vents.

Note that the pipe is one piece; it rolls down in a small tube for transportation. You attach several rings to the pipe to keep it in shape. When you unroll it to its full length, it’s 2.5 meters, and then roll it in the perpendicular direction to form a long tube.

There is no BTU value in specifications, but this is a small stove for smaller tents for up to 4 people. There are no racks on the sides which is a shame. We have also included it in our list of the best small wood burning tent stoves.

The stove comes with an integrated damper and a carry bag. It’s called Fastfold because it’s an easy-to-use collapsible construction. The packed size of the stove is 15 x 9 x 2 inches (38 x 23 x 5 cm), and the pipe is 12 x 1 x 1 inch (30 x 2.5 x 2.5 cm). According to the manufacturer, the stove is suitable for tents for 2–4 people.

As you realize from the picture, there are no racks. The total height of the pipe is 122 inches (310 cm), so it can be used in very tall tents. The pipe diameter is 3 inches (7.6 cm), and the firebox volume is 900 in³ (14.7 liters).

Note that it includes a side rack plus a wood drying rack, these two you can leave at home to make the stove lighter. There are two glass windows here, and it comes with a carry bag included.

The stove is ultra-compact, with a packed size of 19 x 14 x 4.5 inches (48 x 35 x 11 cm). The pipe is the same type as in the Danchel stove, so this is one piece. Its length is 7.85 ft (2.4 m). There is no info about its BTU rating, but here again, think about smaller tents with such a stove.

Final Thoughts

So this was our selection of the best ultralight wood-burning tent stoves; all are backpack-portable and nicely packable. You can also transport them on a bicycle, in a kayak, or on a motorbike. The same material is used in all of them, so there is not much to choose from in this sense, but there are a few differences in features to bear in mind.

The stoves are small, and a rack adds much to the stove’s functionality. On the other hand, some have glass windows, which is an excellent and helpful feature and creates a great atmosphere. But windows can crack, and they need more care in handling.

There are differences in the price as well, in the length of the pipe; some are with a damper and some without it. You might want to check also our article on the best double camping sleeping bags for adults. Let me know if you have questions; a comment box is below.
